India Signs A 5GW Photovoltaic Cell And 10GW Energy Storage BESS Factory Project


Recently, Solex Energy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat state government, planning to invest 400 billion rupees in the state to build a 5GW solar cell manufacturing plant and a 10GW battery energy storage system (BESS) factory.

The company plans to build a 5GW solar cell factory in two phases, with the first phase covering 2GW and the second phase 3GW.

It is reported that Solex Energy is a photovoltaic manufacturer headquartered in Surat, Gujarat, India. In recent years, it has accelerated its layout in the entire solar cell, component and energy storage industry chain. It operates a fully automated manufacturing plant with industrial 4.0 functions in Tadkeshwar, Gujarat, with an annual production capacity of 4 GW for photovoltaic components.
