The 11th Bureau of Water Conservancy and Hydropower has signed the first large-scale photovoltaic operation and maintenance project in the African market.
Recently, the 11th Bureau of China Hydropower Engineering Corporation signed a contract with the Kariba North Bank Expansion Power Company of Zambia for the 100-megawatt Kabeve photovoltaic operation and maintenance project in Zambia. This marks the first large-scale photovoltaic operation and maintenance project that the 11th Bureau has landed in the African market.
This project is located in Central Province, Zambia, and is mainly responsible for the overall operation and maintenance management of the photovoltaic area of the Kabeve 100-megawatt solar project, which is currently the largest single photovoltaic power station in terms of installed capacity in Zambia. The service content covers intelligent inspection, power generation efficiency optimization, component cleaning, fault diagnosis, safety management, and local employee training, among others. The operation and maintenance period is five years. This signing is not only an important breakthrough in the business field of the 11th Bureau of Hydropower, but also provides systematic support for Zambia's energy transition through the "construction + operation and maintenance" full life cycle service model.
The successful signing of this project will not only provide full-cycle technical support for the 100-megawatt photovoltaic solar project in Kabwe, consolidate the company's leading position in the new energy market in Zambia, but also effectively enhance the local clean energy supply stability guarantee capacity and accelerate the country's energy transition process.
