China Energy Construction's First Renewable Energy Project in South America Has Been Launched in Brazil
On October 30th, China Energy Construction Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as "China Energy Construction") completed the handover of its first new energy investment project in South America - the Correamas Photovoltaic Project in Brazil. China Energy Construction Overseas Investment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Energy Construction Overseas Investment") officially became the controlling shareholder of this project and was fully responsible for its operation and management. This move marks a crucial step for China Energy Construction in the field of new energy investment in South America, achieving a major breakthrough in its overseas investment business and injecting new momentum into the green energy cooperation between China and Brazil.
The Correamas Photovoltaic Project is located in the Paraíba State in the northeastern part of Brazil. With a total installed capacity of approximately 93 megawatts, it generates an annual electricity output of 167 million kilowatt-hours. This can meet the annual electricity demands of over 80,000 households in the area, equivalent to saving approximately 20,500 tons of standard coal annually, and achieving significant emission reduction benefits. The project has created nearly 100 job opportunities for the local community, while also effectively promoting regional economic development and improving the local people's livelihoods.
After the completion of the transaction, Cangjian Haizhou will actively promote the upgrading and optimization of the project as well as the improvement of operation and maintenance. Through technological and management enhancements, it aims to increase power generation efficiency and operational benefits, and strives to make the Corimas photovoltaic project a green energy benchmark project with significant demonstration value in the South American region.
In the future, Canbi Investment will actively implement the consensus reached by the leaders of China and Pakistan. Guided by China Energy Engineering Group's "Four New" strategy, it will deepen practical cooperation with local governments, leading enterprises in the industry, and financial institutions, promoting in-depth collaboration between the two countries in the fields of clean energy and sustainable development, and continuously injecting green momentum into the cooperation between China and Pakistan.
