China Polysilicon Prices Hold Steady as Market Remains Cautious

China’s polysilicon market remained in a wait-and-see mode this week, with public pricing systems yet to fully resume and actual spot transactions remaining limited.

Prices Stay at RMB 40–43/kg

According to the latest data released by the Silicon Industry Association on September 16, polysilicon transaction prices remained within a reference range of RMB 40–43/kg.

Actual orders were still limited in scale, while spot market availability remained low. Only a small number of transactions were completed, mainly through processing arrangements and indirect distribution channels.

Producers Begin Reducing Output

As the industry continues to adjust supply, some polysilicon producers have started to reduce production loads based on their individual operating conditions.

These supply-side adjustments are intended to improve market balance, while producers remain cautious about shipments amid limited spot trading.

Downstream Demand Remains Weak

Downstream buyers continue to focus primarily on essential procurement, with overall trading activity broadly unchanged from last week.

With limited spot transactions and both buyers and sellers waiting for clearer market signals, price negotiations remain ongoing and a firm market consensus has yet to emerge.
