Standard Solar Acquires 15.79 MW of Solar Projects in Washington State

Two Projects Expand Solar Capacity

Standard Solar has acquired two solar development projects from OneEnergy Renewables, marking the companies’ first collaboration in Washington State. The projects, Palouse Junction in Connell and Cunningham in Othello, will add a combined 15.79 MW of ground-mounted solar capacity in eastern Washington.

Projects Expected to Begin Operation in 2027

The 12.1 MW Palouse Junction project is expected to generate approximately 22,339 MWh of electricity in its first year, with Franklin Public Utility District serving as the power purchaser.

The 3.69 MW Cunningham project is forecast to produce around 6,917 MWh in its first year, with Big Bend Electric Cooperative purchasing the power. Both projects are expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2027.

OneEnergy Renewables will serve as the developer and provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for both projects.

Rural Utilities Support Local Clean Energy

The acquisitions highlight the growing role of municipal utilities and rural cooperatives in expanding access to renewable electricity. By purchasing locally generated solar power, these utilities can diversify their energy supply, support long-term planning and deliver clean electricity to their communities.

Standard Solar said the projects reflect its continued expansion in distributed generation and community-scale solar development.
