China Energy Construction Has Signed A Contract For The Largest Single-capacity Photovoltaic Power Station Project In South Africa
On February 10th local time, China Energy Construction International Group, in collaboration with China Energy Construction Northwest Institute, officially signed an EPC contract for the 620-megawatt photovoltaic power station project of Noshie with the local IPP developer in South Africa, Anthem. This project is another major new energy project of China Energy Construction Group in South Africa after the Umbo 115-megawatt, Moi 240-megawatt photovoltaic projects, and the Redsha 153-megawatt/612-megawatt-hour battery energy storage project. It is also the largest single photovoltaic power station in South Africa at present, marking a new breakthrough in the company's in-depth layout and rolling development in the South African new energy market.
The project is located in the town of Diersville, Free State Province, South Africa. The project scope includes the construction of a 620-megawatt photovoltaic power station, along with a substation, switch station and transmission lines, and provides two-year operation and maintenance services. Once completed, the project will significantly enhance the local capacity for clean energy supply, and effectively support the transformation of South Africa's energy structure and the stability of the power system.
The signing and taking effect of this project have initiated the first cooperation between China Energy Engineering Group and local IPP developers in South Africa, injecting new impetus into the practical energy cooperation between China and South Africa. China Energy Engineering Group will fully leverage its integrated advantages across the entire industrial chain to continuously contribute to South Africa's green energy transformation and sustainable development.
